Summary In recent years, Cloud computing has been touted as the next great development in the information technology business. Cloud computing provides organizations around the world with the opportunity to focus on expanding their business and leave the concerns of IT infrastructure management to Cloud service providers. This project implements an N-Tier application for business expense management named "Expense Manager." This application is designed to be compliant with the record keeping requirements established by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Expense Manager application facilitates employees of any organization in recording travel and other business-related expenses. It also enables cost managers at company's headquarters to process expense claims made by employees. Expense Manager is a Web browser-based application. The application is developed on Microsoft's .NET 3.0 Framework. It is designed using the software engineering design patterns and best practices recommended by Microsoft. It is implemented using ASP.NET and the C# programming language. The back end of the application is Microsoft SQL Azure, a Cloud-based database service.
