Summary Examines gaming algorithms as applied to the game of "EinStein würfelt nicht!" (EWN). The EWN is different from other games because of randomness used in two places: first, while setting the board, the pieces are arranged randomly; second, because of the die when making a move. The algorithm that has proved to be effective is the Monte Carlo method. This paper also examines the effect of making selection using the UCT. The UCT selection must be customized depending on the nature of the game. To find an optimum UCT value, the author has created a computer game named RollingStone that plays a large number of games against OneStone (another EWN game). RollingStone also has a web version that has been used to play on the littlegolem.net gaming website. The results of these games and the values for the UCT have been published as part of this paper.
